Main Rules.
GODMODDING, POWERPLAYING, ECT. are disallowed. As with any proper roleplay forum, proper roleplay etiquette is necessary. This means no invincible characters, no instant killing. It means you cannot control another person's character. It means OOC knowledge cannot be used for IC purposes (metaing) and it means OOC drama should stay out of IC interactions.
FLAMING, BULLYING, ECT. are disallowed. It should be common sense to be courteous to people, even if you can't see their faces. If you feel someone is harassing you, report it to a moderator.
ADULT CONTENT is disallowed. It's a PG-13 forum, and while you are welcome to roleplay whatever you'd like off-forum, on-forum content is required to remain PG-13 or less. This is primarily so we can advertise on the proboards support forums, and because adult content breaks proboards' TOS. As for what is allowed; anything you would see in the SNK manga/anime is acceptable.
CANON CHARACTERS are managed by the staff team. Their original creator is Hajime Isayama, and thus they don't really belong to you. The staff team can take back and give away canon characters as they would like to. More about this in the Canon Character Rules thread. If you have questions, contact Frost.
Faction Affiliation & Territory Shifting.
The works of SNIDS is not static. It deviates from the canon storyline, the world changes and grows. The characters and the people playing them get to shape their experience as they see fit. Thus, the power over certain areas is subject to change. The current holder of each area is indicated in that board's description. The two primary factions are Humanity [led by the king] and the Titans [led by an unknown], and to start off each territory will be controlled by one or the other.
Additionally, a character may, by default, be affiliated with one of these canon factions:
Military Police: Controlled by [NPC/STAFF]. Info/OOC board here. Home territory is Wall Sina.
Stationary Guard: Controlled by [NPC/STAFF]. Info/OOC board here. Home territory is Wall Rose.
Scouting Legion: Controlled by [NPC/STAFF]. Info/OOC board here. Home territory is Wall Maria.
Titans: Controlled by [NPC/STAFF]. Home territory is Beyond the Walls.
